​Impact of toxicants on genomic mutations

We hypothesize that exposure to environmental factors will induce genomic mutations in certain error-prone regions. The aim of our future researches is to investigate the mutations associated with certain toxicants and reveal the most common mutations. In this study, we will use the whole exome sequencing techniques and human umbilical cord samples exposed to chlordecone. We will reveal the mutations, which are associated with increased risk of cancer with the goal to discover a new biomarkers for diagnostic.
